Current load

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The current coating is a constructive dimension and plays an important role in the thermal utilization of the rotating electrical machine .

In the definition of the current coating, the discrete distribution of the conductors in grooves is abstracted by imagining the current-carrying conductors of a strand evenly distributed over its winding zone. It thus corresponds to the borderline case of a number of holes . In a machine, the total current of all conductors in relation to the rotor diameter is called the current coating. Depending on the machine size and cooling technology, it ranges from 100 to 600 A / cm.
