The tenesmus or tenesmus (tenesmus ani or faeces; plurality in German: tenesmus ) is the painful urging to stool , but only little or no even fecal be emptied. The obsession with a chair stops when the chair has been made or continues for a while. It can be an extremely distressing symptom and should be clarified by a doctor.
root cause
The obsession to stool is based on convulsive contraction of the muscles of the large intestine and the anus and sphincter and is a constant symptom of colon inflammation in catarrhs , especially of the rectum , in irritation from worms and mainly in dysentery , typhoid, etc. It can also be found in chronic inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis occur. Rectal cancer is another cause that requires clarification .
