Suhail al-Hasan

Suhail Salman al-Hasan ( Arabic سهيل سلمان الحسن, DMG Suhail al-Salmān Ḥasan calledالنمر / an-Nimr  / ' the tiger '; born 1970 in Jabla , Latakia ) is a Syrian brigadier general who has been in command of the Tiger Forces since autumn 2013 . He is married and has a son. He was awarded the Order of Friendship by Russia . After his successes in the Syrian war, a real personality cult is said to have developed around him .

According to a study by the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPI) published in February 2019, al-Hasan and his units were responsible for over 300 poison gas attacks on civilians.
