Sven Franzen

Sven Franzen (born April 21, 1987 ) is a German handball manager . Until summer 2020 he will be the second managing director of the Bundesliga club TVB 1898 Stuttgart .

Franzen studied sports science in Stuttgart with a focus on management and marketing. After completing his studies, he worked for various marketing agencies. Between 2013 and 2016 he worked at Follow Red and from 2016 to 2017 at DFROST. Franzen worked as a senior consultant at the content marketing agency fischerAppelt play GmbH in Stuttgart from July 2017 to 2018 .

After Jürgen Schweikardt took over the coaching office of TVB 1898 Stuttgart during the 2017/18 season in addition to his role as managing director, the club signed on Sven Franzen as another managing director for the 2018/19 season . Franzen took over the finance, sales and event divisions on July 1, 2018, while Schweikardt will remain responsible for the sports, communication and organization divisions. At the same time, Franzen works as a project manager at Kärcher , the main sponsor of the TVB. In summer 2020 Franzen will leave the TVB as managing director.

As a football player, Franzen was active for SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg until 2008 and for the upper division SGV Freiberg from 2008 to 2014 . In 2011 he played for the Württemberg Football Association in the UEFA Regions' Cup . Franzen also volunteered for SGV Freiberg from 2012 to 2014 in the areas of marketing and sponsoring. From 2014 to 2018 he played for the association league club VfB Neckarrems . For the 2018/19 season, Franzen moved to SV Breuningsweiler, which had been promoted to the Association League.
