In his last season as a senior , he only got just under three points per game in 19 minutes of average playing time, but was considered one of the strongest defenders in the team, while as a German junior selection player at the U20 European Championship in 2010 he was internally one of the best scorers of his own selection was when they could only ensure relegation in Division A of the best European junior teams in the last game. In 2010 DiLeo won the championship tournament of the A-10 with the Owls and reached the national NCAA finals tournament for the Owls in all of his seasons , but always eliminated after the second game at the latest.

After completing his studies in 2013, DiLeo began a professional career in his native Germany, where he joined the old master and first division relegated 46ers from Gießen under coach Denis Wucherer , who had already coached DiLeo as coach of the junior national team. The Giessen had finished the last first division season after financial problems as bottom of the table and were relegated from the top division for the first time. When rebuilding in the ProA 2013/14 they reached the fourth main round place, but then lost the decisive play-off semi- final series for the re - promotion against the future ProA champion BG Göttingen , who then returned to the first division. For the ProA 2014/15 , DiLeo was appointed team captain of the old master. As captain, he stood on the field for over 30 minutes per game and led his team, unbeaten in the playoffs, back to the BBL.
