Tamplin was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Tamplin Motors began in 1919 in Staines with the production of automobiles. In 1923 the company moved to Cheam .

In 1927 production was stopped after about 2000 copies had been produced.

The first model corresponded to the carden . It was equipped with a V2 engine from JAP with 980 cm³ displacement in a mid-engine design and offered space for two people in a row. In 1922 the 8/10 HP with 964 cm³ displacement supplemented the range, which was replaced in 1924 by the 7/10 HP with 996 cm³ displacement. On these models, the Blackburne two-cylinder engine was built into the front of the chassis . The body offered space for two people side by side.
