Teispes

Teispes ( Persian چیشپیش Tschīschpīsch , Old Persian Tšaišpiš , Babylonian Šišpiš , Elamite Zišpiš ; * around 700 BC Chr .; † 640 BC BC) was the second king of the ancient Persian Achaemenid Empire . He was the son and successor of the dynasty founder Achaimenes and ruled from 675 BC. BC to 640 BC Chr.
Teispes intended to mythical among his two sons to tradition, his domain Cyrus I and Ariaramna I have split.
Ariaramna I received the eastern areas of Persis ( Parsa ) and Cyrus I the Elamian district of Anshan ( Parsumaš ). While Ariaramna I is said to have been deposed later by the Median king Kyaxares II , Cyrus I received the territories of Ariaramna I as an administrative district through his promedic course.
Cuneiform evidence of the division and the deposition of Ariaramna I is still missing today.
