The Candyskins were a Britpop band from Oxford , England that formed in 1989.
Band history
The Candyskins' debut single, Submarine Song , brought them a recording deal with Geffen Records in 1990 , followed by their first album, Space I'm In , in 1991 . Submarine Song came in the US under "Modern Rock Tracks", which are determined by Billboard magazine , to number 9.
In 1993 the second album Fun? , the single Wembley that was extracted from it was also listed under "Modern Rock Tracks" at number 12.
Two years later, The Candyskins moved to the British label Ultimate, on which the 1997 album Sunday Morning Fever was released. In June 1997, the single Monday Morning reached number 34 on the UK charts.
The single Feed It was selected in 1998 for the soundtrack of the film "Waterboy". In the same year the fourth and final album of the Candyskins, Death of a Minor TV Celebrity was released . The band has now broken up.
