At the beginning of October 1992, work on the first album Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest began in Paul McCartney's Hog Hill Mill Studio in Sussex , in which Youth, together with sound engineer Chris Potter and programmer Matt Austin , produced and new samples from the songs from the album Off the Ground Mixes made, then spoken words from the songs The Broadcast and Reception , both from the Wings album Back to the Egg , as well as " Mellotron Loops" were used. Paul McCartney also played acoustic bass, flute and banjo , which was also used for the mixes. After four days, the album was completed on October 11, 1992 and released on November 15, 1993 under the pseudonym The Fireman .

In February 1998 Paul McCartney went back to the Hog Hill Mill Studio with Youth and completed another album , newly composed songs were recorded for Rushes , which are essentially atmospheric instrumental music, the album was released on September 21, 1998. On October 2, 1998, The Fireman appeared masked at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 1) and presented live mixes of five songs from their album Rushes , with additional instrumentation and vocals added. The broadcast of the appearance took place on the homepage of The Fireman.

On August 21, 2000 Paul McCartney released the experimental album Liverpool Sound Collage , which consists of sound collages that McCartney put together from various sound recordings. Youth was responsible for the sound collage Real Gone Dub Made in Manifest in the Vortex of the Eternal Now , who is also mentioned as an artist on the album alongside Paul McCartney, the Beatles and the Super Furry Animals .

From December 2007 to June 2008 Paul McCartney and Youth recorded their third album in a total of 13 days at the Hog Hill Mill Studio . The album Electric Arguments had no concept at the beginning of the recording, so it was only decided during the work to provide the instrumental songs with vocals, so that the finished album can ultimately hardly be distinguished from a conventional Paul McCartney studio album, since the proportion of experimental songs turned out less, the songs Sing the Changes and Highway were also played during the 2009 tour of Paul McCartney.

During the promotion work for the release of the album Electric Arguments , the identity of The Fireman was revealed and it was mentioned that Paul McCartney and Youth are hiding behind the pseudonym. The song Sing the Changes is also on the McCartney compilation album Pure McCartney , released in 2016 .

On June 17, 2013, the previous collaboration between McCartney and Youth was released, the single Out of Sight was released under the artist name The Bloody Beetroots feat. Paul McCartney & Youth, with McCartney singing again.

Others

On May 28, 1999, Paul McCartney recorded the song Clean Machine at Abbey Road Studios, which was used for the Linda McCartney Foods Pro Cycling Team website. The song, which contains samples of the Beatles song Penny Lane , is attributed to The Fireman, but this is not verifiable as it has not yet been released.
