Thomas Kroth (born August 26, 1959 in Erlenbach am Main ) is a former German soccer player and now a player's agent . Since 2015 he has been President of the German Football Association (DFVV).

Athletic career

Club career

The midfielder played in the Bundesliga for 14 years . He won the DFB Cup with three different clubs : 1983 with 1. FC Köln , 1987 with Hamburger SV and 1989 with Borussia Dortmund . In 1990, Kroth ended his career despite an offer from the Bundesliga. Overall, Kroth played in over 250 top division games. The three-time cup winner was used in 26 games in the German club cup and in 15 matches in European competitions .

Selection bets

On February 26, 1980 he was appointed to the German U-21 selection , in which he played 13 missions. With the youth team, he won the European Vice Championship in 1982 . His last game in this selection was on October 16, 1984 against the Swedish U-21 national team .

In 1985 Thomas Kroth played for the German national team . In 1987 he was called up twice in the German Olympic team.

Further career

Kroth is the owner and managing director of the PRO Profil agency , which takes care of the support and marketing of professional athletes, including Manuel Neuer , Sebastian Rode , Patrick Herrmann , Kevin Volland and Shinji Kagawa . Kroth has been a member of the board of directors of the German Football Association (DFVV) since it was founded, initially as an assessor and since 2010 as vice-president. At the general assembly on November 19, 2015, Thomas Kroth was elected President of the DFVV.
