Meanwhile, Perthel had only made nine appearances for Bremen during the U-19 Bundesliga season 2007/08 due to injuries . In summer 2008 he was then taken over to Bremen's second team in the men's division, which was present in 2008/09 as a founding member in the newly created 3rd division . In this, Perthel made his debut on the second match day, played on August 9, 2008, against SV Sandhausen and finally contributed with a total of 32 missions to keep the team as 17th in the final table. In the spring of 2009, Perthel signed a professional contract dated until 2012 with Werder and made his debut in the top German division on May 3, 2009 in the 0-1 defeat in the away game against 1. FC Köln with a substitute for Peter Niemeyer in the 72nd minute. Perthel was called up in the next season only for the reserve team, for which he played another 26 games in 2009/10 .

Via Austria to Rostock

After Perthel had only played for Bremen's reserve at the beginning of the following season 2010/11 (four missions), he was loaned to the Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz in August 2010 for the rest of the season . In 20 missions during the 2010/11 Bundesliga season , Perthel then contributed to Sturm Graz winning the third championship title in the club's history.

In the summer of 2011, Perthel did not return to Bremen, but was instead given to FC Hansa Rostock , which took part in the German 2nd Bundesliga as a promoted player in 2011/12 . He signed a contract with Hansa that ran until June 30, 2013; in return, the Rostock player Tom Trybull moved to Werder. During the first half of the season Perthel managed to establish himself as a regular player with 15 appearances in the Rostock team trained by Peter Vollmann . Hansa was in danger of relegation and therefore replaced Vollmann with Wolfgang Wolf at the beginning of the second half of the season , but Perthel was able to maintain his regular position under the new coach, so that he initially played another ten missions for Hansa. In the last of these missions on matchday 29 against Düsseldorf he suffered a broken metatarsus, so that he was no longer available for the rest of the season. At the end of the season, Hansa Rostock rose from bottom of the table in the third division, for which Perthel's contract did not apply. Although Hansa showed interest in further cooperation, he left the association.
