Tom Bellfort (born before 1983) is a sound engineer .

Life

Bellfort, who works in the field of sound engineering in addition to sound editing also on sound design and sound effects , began his career in 1983 with the adventure film The Black Stallion Returns . Only a little later he was involved in two multiple Oscar-winning feature films: Philip Kaufman's literary film The Stuff the Heroes are Made of and Miloš Forman's Amadeus . Bellfort has worked on numerous LucasArts productions , including the television series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, as well as television films and direct-to-video productions based on the Indiana Jones character . For the television series he received the Primetime Emmy in 1993 . He won a second Primetime Emmy in 2010 for the miniseries The Pacific .

For James Cameron's Titanic Bell Fort received in 1998 along with Christopher Boyes the Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing . In 2000 , Bellfort was nominated for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace for the second time for the Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing, as well as for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound , but received nothing at both awards.
