Trans-Nzoia County (until 2010 Trans-Nzoia District ) is a county in Kenya . The capital of the county is Kitale . Only 4.6% of households are connected to the electricity supply. The main branch of the economy is agriculture, tea and corn are the main crops. Trans-Nzoia County is part of the Kitale Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church . The Kenyan part of Mount Elgon National Park is in the county .
