Trusted Simon Koelsch
The trade mark Traugott Simon Kölsch , as well as various other beer brands beginning with Traugott Simon , is owned by the beverage wholesaler Trinkgut .
Beer and brewery
In contrast to Pils and Altbier , which are also available as draft beer , Kölsch is only offered as bottled beer. It was launched in 2007.
It is a full beer with 4.8% alcohol content . It is brewed in accordance with the German Beer Purity Law of 1516 by the Kölsch Brewery Sünner on Kalker Hauptstrasse in Cologne-Kalk in Lohnsud and thus complies with the Kölsch Convention of 1985 . The client is the trinkgut Brau- und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH located there.
Label text
After a legal dispute, Trinkgut had to obscure the text " The small private brewery Traugott Simon traditionally produces this Kölsch in open fermentation " for the bottle labels initially used , as this information did not correspond to the facts ( label fraud ). The text was blackened or pasted over, the labels carried the text " Using the finest ingredients, this top-fermented beer is made according to the traditional brewing method ". The colors, shape, design and fonts still show a lot in common with the labels of the long-established competitor brands Reissdorf and Früh .
