2000 European Under-18 Football Championship

The 3rd U-18 European Women's Football Championship was held in France from July 27 to August 4, 2000 . Germany won the tournament by beating Spain 4-2 . For Germany it was the first tournament victory. Defending champion Sweden finished third, Austria and Switzerland could not qualify. Players born on January 1, 1982 or later were eligible to play.

mode

The four qualified teams first play a preliminary round according to the mode everyone against everyone . The two teams with the highest points then contest the final.

Venues

The final round was held in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Le Touquet .

Germany played in the final in the following line-up: Ursula Holl - Mira Krummenauer , Bianca Rech , Becker, Notbom - Verena Hagedorn , Katrin Kliehm ( Nicole Färber ), Marion Wilmes ( Sarah Günther ), Petra Wimbersky , Christa Schäpertöns , Jennifer Meier . Meier (13th, 90th), Wilmes (31st) and Färber (79th) scored the goals for Germany, while Del Rio scored twice for Spain (45th, 90th).
