The Karl-Preis-Platz underground station in Munich opened on October 18, 1980. It is served by the U2 line and, since December 12, 2011, by the U7 reinforcement line, which only runs during rush hour.
The station is under Claudius-Keller-Straße in the Ramersdorf district . The back track walls are clad with large gray-beige wall panels, the floor is paved with Isar pebbles, the supports are covered with gray-beige tiles and the ceiling, equipped with two light strips, is covered with aluminum slats. While you reach the surface via a ramp at the western end, at the eastern end a staircase leads to a barrier floor, from which the crossing Claudius-Keller-Straße / Rosenheimer Straße is reached.
The subway station was named after the Karl-Preis-Platz there, Claudius-Keller-Straße at the corner of Rosenheimer Straße, which was named after Karl Sebastian Preis , SPD city councilor in Munich and founder of the municipal housing association GEWOFAG.
