The Silberhornstraße is a Munich subway station , which opened on October 18, 1980th It is served by the U2 line and, since December 12, 2011, by the U7 reinforcement line, which only runs during rush hour.
The station has no pillars, making it one of the earliest pillarless underground stations. The back track walls were clad with large orange wall panels, the floor is covered with Isar pebbles and the cantilevered ceiling with two (previously three) light strips is covered with aluminum slats. At the western end of the platform, stairs and a lift lead to a barrier floor with access to Tegernseer Landstrasse / Deisenhofener Strasse. There is a connection to the 15/25 tram to Grünwald and the X30 towards Ostbahnhof or Harras . Furthermore, one reaches Herzogstandstraße via the mezzanine floor.
