Nauener Platz underground station

The nauener platz is opened on 30 April 1976 Station of the Berlin U-Bahn - Line U9 . It is 747 meters from Osloer Straße underground station and 806 meters from Leopoldplatz underground station . The station is located on the border between the Berlin districts Gesundbrunnen and Wedding in the Mitte district and has the abbreviation Np in the station directory of the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe .

The station has a central platform with a staircase in the middle that leads to a lobby. The room was designed in the colors red, white and blue, the colors of Nauen and France - at that time the station was still in the French sector . The walls are kept white and have red advertising signs on them. The station name appears on dark blue signs. The ceiling, which was previously white and blue above the platform, is now completely white and now has a modern lamp system above the platform, which essentially consists of metal parts and trough-like lights that are partially integrated into the large metal body. The central supports are also framed in metal. The color red can also be found on other objects in the train station, including the kiosk.

At the end of 2018, the station, along with twelve other stations, was placed under a preservation order as a witness to the West Berlin subway construction in the 1960s and 1970s .

The train station is to be made barrier-free by the end of 2019 .
