Walter Hasenclever Literature Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Walter Hasenclever Literature Prize is a literature prize that has been awarded every two years since 1996 in memory of Walter Hasenclever . The winners of the award are the Walter-Hasenclever-Gesellschaft , the Aachener Einhard-Gymnasium as the former Hasenclever school, the Aachen book trade, the German Literature Archive Marbach , which maintains the Hasenclever estate, and the city of Aachen . The prize is endowed with 20,000 euros. The award ceremonies with laudations and acceptance speeches, specialist contributions, literary critical reviews and documentation of the receptions of the students of the Einhard-Gymnasium are documented in the yearbooks of the Walter-Hasenclever-Gesellschaft eV

With this award, the donors tie in with the earlier Walter Hasenclever Prize of the city of Aachen , which was awarded at irregular intervals in memory of the city's great son.
