West Milwaukee is a village in the Milwaukee metropolitan area in the US state of Wisconsin . At the 2000 census, the population was 4,201. It is a settlement predominantly inhabited by citizens of the lower middle class, the so-called blue-collar workers in the USA .

According to the United States Census Bureau , the parish has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.9 km²), all land area. According to the 2000 census, there were 4,201 residents, 2,059 households, and 891 families in the parish. The population density was 1,435.4 / km².
