Willi Frommelt (born November 18, 1952 in Schaan ) is a former Liechtenstein ski racer .

biography

In addition to his sporting career, Frommelt completed basic commercial training and graduated as a business economist HWV at the age of 29. He now worked as a personnel and finance officer, was a pension and financial planner at the Liechtensteinische Landesbank and for several years managing director of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LIHK).

In May 2010, Frommelt was challenged by the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) in the race for the election of the head of the community of Schaan. He tried to replace the incumbent chief Daniel Hilti ( VU ), but could not prevail against him. Prior to his candidacy, he had served on the local council for four years.

Frommelt is married and has two daughters. His younger brother Paul Frommelt was also active as a ski racer. His brother Peter Frommelt took part for Liechtenstein in the 1989 World Table Tennis Championships in Dortmund and the 2006 World Table Tennis Championships in Bremen . His father was the cross-country skier Christof Frommelt .

In 1976 Willi Frommelt was voted Sportsman of the Year in Liechtenstein . In 2004 he was awarded the Golden Laurel Leaf of the Princely Government for his sporting achievements .
