Wolfgang Gieler

Wolfgang Gieler (* 1960 in Bonn ) is a German political scientist and ethnologist.

Life

He studied political science, ethnology, sociology and education at the University of Münster and the University of Ife. He gained several years of experience in the field of non-governmental German development cooperation. He taught at German universities in Hanover , Kassel and Jena . He held visiting professorships at the University of Minsk , University of Vienna , University of Sakarya , University of Manama , University of Ouagadougou and the University of Uyo, among others .

Since 2002 he has been Professor of Intercultural and International Studies at the Okan University of Istanbul .
