Wolfgang Seidenberg

Wolfgang Seidenberg (born March 18, 1962 in Siegburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Wolfgang Seidenberg completed his acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . He initially had theater engagements in Vienna, including at the Schauspielhaus Wien , the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater and, under the direction of Peter Lotschak, at the Bad Hersfeld Festival for over a decade . Since then, Seidenberg has increasingly worked for film and television productions, including in 1993 as an SS overseer in Steven Spielberg's feature film Schindler's List .

From 1995 to 2011 he played the role of master plumber Frank Töppers in the ARD pre-evening series Marienhof . In 2007 he played the lead role alongside Mira Gittner in the movie My Dream or The Loneliness is Never Alone by Roland Reber , with whom he also worked in three other films. In 2015 he played Sägerobert in a unique new version of Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper at the Salzburg Festival .

Since 2013 Seidenberg has also been working as a dramaturge and director; Among other things, he staged the German-language premiere of Arizona by the Spanish author Juan Carlos Rubio at the Kempten and Hof theaters.

He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).

Seidenberg was married to the actress Michaela Geuer , with whom he has two sons (twins).
