  • curprev 18:2218:22, 25 October 2023Hermes Thrice Great talk contribs 13,808 bytes +1,644 Ornan recommended Ç/ç as an alternate romanization of צ/ץ—in his 2008 paper “Hebrew Word Structure: Its Rendering and Pointing and in Latin Conversion”, he even wrote that he preferred it to “C/c”. Ornan particularly recommended the use of Ç/ç for placenames, for example on Israeli road signs (cf. Ornan. (2003). Latin Conversion of Hebrew: Grammatical, Full, and Deficient.
