Star Wars: Empire at Waris a real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph Games and published by LucasArts and Activision. Windows was first released on February 16, 2006 for Windows in North America and a day later in Europe. For Mac OS X, the game was released a year later. The game is set in the Star Wars universe. The action of the single player campaign begins after the end of Episode III and works up the time up to the beginning of Episode IV. So it deals with the beginnings of the fighting between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. The player takes over one of these factions and tries to defeat the other. The game combines strategic with tactical elements. The game was positively received by the trade press.
