Although both are involved in their children's sports, a Soccer Mom is very passive in her support, i.e. her child is there to have fun; all games should be tied; etc. A Hockey Mom, on the other hand, is very feisty, i.e. chanting, animated, banging on the glass, etc., and her child is there to win.
