There are bigger issues than anything to do with that particular RFA and I'm always amazed at the userboxes people choose to display. I personally find it impossible to understand the participation of a Creationist who openly abhors same sex marriage in an environment such as this one. Sure, having biases out of the open may actually help, but still...! I understand the matter at hand; a reason for several (ridiculous) opposes at my previous RfA were due to a similarly cynical atheistic userbox. Who the hell cares about userboxes? everyone is biased against something in some ways, and whether or not people know about it makes no difference. Besides, if someone who's pro-choice is mature enough to be given the tools I trust they're mature enough to steer clear of the [[Pro-life]] page and similar. As much as I'd like to use it, as you point out, it was the fastest at the time. It's a funny one, would it have to be updated after every European round to confirm it is still a record?
