Piz Scalottas is a mountain in the Plessur Range (Alps), located near Lenzerheide in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland.

Barahona is a province of the Dominican Republic. Until 1958 it included what is now Pedernales Province.
In the spring of 2006, members of the U.S. Armed Forces, Georgia Army National Guard, and Puerto Rico Army National Guard went to Barahona. The US government claimed that the troops were to help rebuild schools and hospitals in the rural mountain areas that had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina in September 2005, though local belief was that the military presence was related to spying activities focused on Venezuela and the provisioning of the Dominican military.
