Halladale High is an All Magnet High School. Every students who attends Hallandale High must be enrolled in a Magnet program. These programs are broken down into three houses. After almost 35 years without an official mascot, The Mighty 'Dale'-- a 7 foot, maroon horse wearing a 'Chargers' jersey, was introduced to Hallandale in 2006. Dale reportedly made his first appearance at a Freshman class orientation in August of that year. However due to complications the Hallandale Mascot will not be making an appearance during the 2007-2008 |

The mascot dilemma had been addressed numerous times by different faculty members since the early 2000's but it wasn't until 2005 when Drama teacher/director John Battle came up with the idea of having an actual mascot present at the school. The next year following "The Might 'Dale" was intorduced for a brief period. |
