The neighborhood was created in the 1950s for middle and upper income families. Several original residents of the neighborhood still reside in the community. |

As with several areas of North Oak Cliff, many homes have been purchased in the last several years to be renovated and remodeled. The community is a diverse mix of people and the neighborhood association is very strong, with quite a few events held throughout the year. |
