Joseph C. Ritchie was the mayor of Newport News, Virginia for ten years, from July 1, 1976 to June 30, 1986. Ritchie was the first Republican mayor for the city; in fact, his election to City Council in 1970 was the first time a Republican had been chosen to serve as a Councilman.

Ritchie's decade as mayor saw significant growth in the city. Major improvements to the infrastructure of the city were carried out during his terms. Ritchie himself considered the lowering of tax rates, a cause with which he was particularly involved in, to be key to growth in the city during this time. Ritchie also signed a "sister city" agreement with the city of Neyagawa, Osaka, Japan.

You are vandalising these pages without a single argument. there is a certain wikipedia policy WP:NCGN, which states a language of a population that used to live in a certain area, can be added in the lead. Also you have broken WP:3RR. Please, stop doing that.balkanian (talk) 14:32, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
After serving as mayor, Ritchie returned to his career as a contractor, as owner and CEO of the Ritchie-Curbow Construction Company. The company is responsible for building several sites of interest in the Hampton Roads area. Ritchie is also a managing member of Newport News Town Center, LLC, responsible for the managing of the city's new City Center at Oyster Point district. In addition, Ritchie is an "organizer-director" of Virginia Company Bank, a new bank expecting to start serving residents and businesses in August 2005.

It's my opinion that the Albanian names are irrelevant, you and some anons keep adding them while most editors remove them. You haven't started a discussion either. Lastly please explain to me why i have broken the 3RR rule, i have never exceeded three reverts per page per 24h and this is going on for less then three days. Thanks. --Zakronian (talk) 14:55, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, your opinion is irrelevant (mine too). This is wikipedia and runs according to some policies. WP:NCGN is one of them, and states that a language of a population that used to live in a certain area, can be added in the lead. If you think that this is not reight go and report the policy, but do not revert pages. Secondly, I am not an anon, as you can see and I do not care what others do.balkanian (talk) 15:04, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Our opinions have to do with the intepretations we give to wikipedia's policies, so they are not irrelevant, unless if you think we should follow them with the strictness a mathematician uses to apply his axioms, that would give me an absolute right to add a Greek name wherever Greeks have lived for the past 2500 years. Anyway i never said you are behind any anon, you are free to revert again by me for the time being, i would suggest you don't remove the Nazi collaboration mention and start a discussion or seek mediation. If you continue like this expect your edits to be reverted. --Zakronian (talk) 15:39, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Listen, I am not a nationalist. The cham claims are that they were killed, raped, and forced to leave Greece. Greeks view is that they (all?) colaborated with Nazis. There are different sources which have both arguments in it. (See Miranda Vickers of UK difence ministrie for example). So the phrase I used is clear of both arguments, that could be founded in Cham Albanians page. As per the name, there is a Greek name i Durres, Vlora, Berat, Saranda, Himara, Delvina, Gjirokaster, and I have not reverted them.balkanian (talk) 15:51, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

It would be better to place your arguements in the right page, this is not between the two of us. As far as i'm concerned i believe that not mentioning the Nazi collaboration (at least by a significant part) might give a false impression. Especially if we take into consideration the modern historical - and to some extent political - dispute. As for the name i personally would not doubt your intentions if you had added the Turkish and Jewish names also in every relevant article. I see no reason to exclude them if we accept the Albanian name as worth mentioning. I suggest again you open a discussion and at least refer to that discussion in every relevant edit you make.--Zakronian (talk) 21:55, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
