All of these are red links. (I checked "Political views of..." and Political positions of..." for these individuals, and those are also all red links.) I could go on further, but I think you get the idea. Doesn't this strike anyone else as a bit absurd? We don't have "Views of..." articles for some of the most influential philosophers and statesmen in American history, but we do for a guy who has never won any political office, has had no real effect on American government or society, and has perhaps a few thousand followers at most? This is a clear and blatant violation of our policies on undue weight.

More than that, this article has been a net detriment to Wikipedia ever since it was created. It has served as a platform for POV-pushing (on both sides), sock puppetry, and incivility. Why no reply? Was I mistaken that this might be a topic that interests you? BillyTFried (talk) 20:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

:Sorry Billy I lost track of this post. As far as I can see No Means No is redirecting to a band and the other two are fairly notable slogans - in fact power to the people is a disambiguation page since the phrase has been used so often (so I assume you're eferring to Power to the people (slogan)).
:I'm not sure in what context your asking for attention here. These phrases seem pretty notable to me (although some could do with a serious clean-up). If you wanted however you look to create a parent article for the 3 phrases (or phrases like these) and seek consensus to merge them--<font color="#999999" size="2">Cailil</font> <font color="#999999">talk</font> 22:16, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for being confusing. My point is that, I'm guessing there is not a person in the Western World who has not heard the phrase "No Means No" and knows damn well what it means, and maybe I'm no punk rock aficionado, but I'd imagine some little known band from Canada wouldn't stand up to WP:Notability standards when put head to head with the much more well known meaning of that phrase. At the very least, it should have the same treatment as Never Again. No? BillyTFried (talk) 23:29, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

:Ah, gotcha. Well IMO a disambiguation page would seem appropriate for the the phrase "No Means No". You can edit the redirect page here--<font color="#999999" size="2">Cailil</font> <font color="#999999">talk</font> 15:20, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I guess I thought bringing this to the attention of a "feminist" (which I am not) would spark some interest in editing it. But that's fine. I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks again. BillyTFried (talk) 03:54, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

:Sometimes real life gets in the way Billy. (And sometimes dealing with difficult ArbCom cases does too.) And just so you know that slogan is not used outside North America - its not something that is current as a phrase in European sexual harassment discourse, for various reasons - I'll have a look at the DAB page when I can dedicate some time to it. If you don't get the chance to work on a stub/new article for "No means no" I'll have a look at linking something to either Sexual harassment or date rape (or perhaps Sexual assault) & writing a section on the slogan in one of the articles--<font color="#999999" size="2">Cailil</font> <font color="#999999">talk</font> 10:33, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I am okay but in transit and with infrequent and undependable access to internet. I will check the article when I can, but assume that any act you take that is consistent with the notes I have added will be okay by me. It seems - based on a cursory look - that the main participants in the debate are Lisa and Tim. Lisa too often seems to be willing to edit-war, but she is clear about her point of view and it seems like she generally represents the Orthodox Jewish POV accurately. Tim on the other hand often makes big claims that he says are "obvious" and i have real concerns that he just does not "get" NPOV and NOR. I think it is key not to elide a Jewish 9or any religious) POV with the "Biblical" view - the Bible is a primary source and mainstream Judaisn has its interpretation of it, different Christian movements have their views, and critical scholars debate other views. I think it is essential that these distinctions be made clearly in the article. Slrubenstein | Talk 20:17, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I noticed that you made quite a heafty edit to the "Fourth Wall" article a few days ago. The only reason I bring it up is I was quite proud of my first contribution and noticed it was gone when I went to show my buddy. Any particular reason why you cut so much out of the article?
-- Macmooreno (talk) 00:00, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
:The reason for the removal form that article is our site policy on verifiability - everything added to wikipedia must be cited to reliable sources, otherwise it will be considered original research and be deleted. There are also issues of encyclopedic weight which determine what information deserves to be added to articles - this is also measured by the use of reliable sources which "back-up" or reference the material that is added. A summary of site policies and guidelines for adding information can be seen at WP:PROVEIT--<font color="#999999" size="2">Cailil</font> <font color="#999999">talk</font> 00:16, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Calil, I've let several people know about this. Three of them disappeared off of Wikipedia after run ins with Lisa; JerryofAiken, Egfrank, and Bikinibomb. A fourth, Kim Brunning, tried resolution with Lisa months ago, but I've not encountered her since. In each case I've asked them to say something (even to tell me I'm flat wrong) if it is relevant to the long term hijacking of pages going on, with edit wars, AfDs, Mediation Cabals, and threats to have me "banned" as a means of trying to cow me away from trying to have articles not contradict each other. I've had a couple of emails from different people bounce back, and tried to contact them here. This is a huge problem. We've BEEN losing editors and I'm close to leaving myself.Tim (talk) 19:25, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

I forgot -- I've also contacted Carlaude because he is the other party in the Mediation Cabal. And I've tried to communicate with L'Aquatique on her talk page because she's also been a witness to this.Tim (talk) 19:27, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Calil -- a lot of people are here and they were obviously contacted by different people. As for my own contacts, Lisa's already followed me around and shown diffs on there with my contacts. You told her to stop just now, remember? Also, here's another scare tactic diff on my talk page from some weeks ago: . :It's just a matter of making a contribution on the evidence page. Keep your evidence under 100 diffs and try to add as little opinion as possible. The case is specifically about Alastair Haines in relation to another group of editors - so you're not a party. :Tim I think the idea of Lisa and you staying away from one another is a good one and if I can help facilitate that in any way do let me know. However, on the surface it seems to me that: (a) until and unless you convince people to remove the article about Ettinger, there's no future in deleting her hame from other articles or aguing her notability in or about those other articles; (b) WP content is supposed to be based on documentation by independent sources, rather than editors' opinions, and your cited google searches seem to contradict your opinion.
