#REDIRECT List of Ender's Game characters#Graff
Hyrum Graff is a fictional character written about by Orson Scott Card, in several of his Ender and Shadow books. He appears in Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon and Shadow Puppets. During Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, he is a manipulative general who is in charge of the Battle School. He forms Ender's life and treats him as if he were a weapon, never giving Ender anything unless it would make him a more adept commander. He also never gave him help, even when Ender was fighting with Bonzo Madrid. Graff's conscience is existent, though, and there are several passages in the books where he fights his idea of what is moral and amoral, in order to make Ender a fighting machine.
