The Midgaan are an indigenous people living mainly in [[Somalia]. They are scattered all over the Horn of Africa from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya. They are outcasted due to their way of living. They are different from the other Somali tribes by their culture. They are different from the other nomads due to being farmers, craftsmen, doctors, and thus the nomads considers them inferior. They are also fierce fighters and they make weapsons and thus any tribe they sided with had victory, and thus also created many tribes to hate them. Midgaans were rulers of Puntland or the land of Boonta, also the Kingdom of Mohamed Xanife or bucur bacayr in north Somalia and many other kingdoms....

The former government tried at least to provide the most basic human rights to the Madhibaan and other outcast minorities in Somalia, but since the onset of the [[Somali Civil War]] the Madhibaan, like many other people from Somalia suffered from assassinations by members of the majority clans and atrocities at the hands of the Somalis as well as from neglect and injustice from the side of the international community.

The Midgan or Midgaan (Somali: Midgaan or Madhibaan) is a Somali clan.

The Madhibaan are an indigenous people living mainly in Somalia but are found all over the Horn of Africa including Djibouti, Ethiopia and Kenya. They are sometimes viewed as being of a lower caste or class because of their farmer - craftsmen history, which some Somalis considered part of lower caste occupation. They are struggling to live in peace and in their ancestral homelands but they have a long history of being oppressed.
