Egyhazaskozar is a lovely small village close to the Mecsekmountains. It was originally a German village. Many of the old people still speak good German and are friendly and very helpfull. It's only 2 miles away from Bikal, a village with a luxureus hotel and spa, and 5 miles from Szasvar, a wine village on the foot of Mecsekmountains. The village is a good central place for tourists to spend the holidays. There's countryside, mountains, woods, water, spa's, horseback riding, cycling, walking, etc. A small supermarket, a few cafe's, churches and there are many nice restaurants in the area. The ancient city of Pecs is only 30 minutes away. Lake Balaton is 40 minutes away and the Danube is close by. The village has a few holidayhouses from where people can explore the country. A good example is hungaryholidayhouse, a private farm from some dutch folk who have renovated the house in original Hungarian style. see. www.hongarijevakantiehuis.nl for some fotos of the area and the house.
