Inokuchi Arika (井口在屋1856-1923) was a Mechanical Technologist and Professor.
He was born in Kanazawa (金沢), graduated from the University of Tokyo (東京大学) Kōgakubu (工学部=mechanical course). In Meiji 29 (1896), he was installed in the University of Tokyo professor.
He invented an Inoguchi shiki turbine pomp (井口式タービンポンプ=Inokuchi type turboalternator). He established Nihon Kikai Gakkai (日本機械学会=Japan Institute of Mechanical Engineers)
Inokuchi-shiki Kikai Jimusho (いのくち式機械事務所) is the present Ebara seisakusho (荏原製作所).
