Brendaen - Golden Rider

Brendaen is one of the last surviving Dragon Riders who was part of a clan called Dragix generations before Eragon, Brendaen's golden dragon's name is Matchel, with whom Brendaen shares a psychic partnership. Brendaen and Matchel reside in Nu leanora, the mountain area of the East, living in a hideout where he and Matchel survive and practice. In the tradition of the Riders, Brendaen carries a sword with a blade matching his dragon's scales (which has struck one shade).

Brendaen has trained with the well known Anurin and has learned how to manipulate peoples minds with magic. He has also crossed paths with an evil shade known as Drazkik. He likes to hide rather than showing his face. He is waiting to show his face. He might be in the final book Empire Inheritence.jpg

Matchel

What does Brendaen ride you say? He rides a golden dragon strong in mind and strength, He is closely linked to Brendaen. Matchel has been wouned badly many a battle, leaving one of his wings damaged. Because of this damage Matchel cannot fly long before he hurtles to the ground. He and Brendaen have tried to improve his flying at thier hideout, and believes the practice is helping his damaged wing to heal. Drazkik, a shade, in battle almost had killed Matchels rider during a battle. But luckily Matchel came and saved him by killing the shade. Villages chanted thier names after they killed him however thier voices were silenced when a second attack broke out upon them. Any history about Brendaen and Matchel was only in the heads of the survivors. Brendaen and Matchel walked into a hidden area and searched for a place they could make a hideout.

A brief dragon history

Dragons are an intelligent race that inhabit Alagaësia, a fictional fantasy world created by Christopher Paolini. They are a key part of the Inheritance Trilogy, in which dragons are a nearly extinct and magical race.

Dragons have lived in Alagaësia since ancient times with the Dwarves. The skin of a Dragon is nearly impenetrable, though the thin membrane of the wings can be easily pierced. Their scales glitter like gems, although each Dragon only has one scale color. They also have the same eye color as their scales, and their teeth and neck spikes are bone white. The Dragons breathe fire after a certain level of maturity, and some can impressively hold the flame for over an hour. The older the dragon grows, the longer they can hold the flame. They never stop growing until their death.
