Brizola and drug gangs in Rio de Janeiro

This sounds to me like it is completely unfounded and biased on political views. Linking him directly to the criminality in Rio is quite a stretch. I'd like to see any credible sources that indicate his security police had him telling the police to be "soft". I'd also like to see the link to the US and Colombia that was previously posted.
