Good Work

I have seen your work pop up on my watchlist (I watch/work on Virginia stations as well) and you are doing a great job. Please let me know if you need any help. Take Care...NeutralHomer T:C 01:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem:) If you have any history information for stations in Cumberland, Hagerstown, and Oakland in Maryland; Winchester, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg in Virginia, including the Southwestern section of the state; and Clarksburg, Fairmont, Elkins, and Kingwood in West Virginia, please let me know. I have made many-a-page for those areas and would appericate any help you can give.
Also, if you need any help with stations in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or Pennsylvania, please let me know. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 13:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I noticed your changes on the VA radio stations...thanks for the updates :). I checked out the List of Virginia Tech Radio Network stations page and made a change to WKOY-FM....it is listed under it's sister station WKQY as the two --Rtphokie 21:14, 23 September 2007 (UTC)stations simulcast each other.[reply]

A full list of stations can be found here. That is from the HokieSports.com website. If I can be of assistance (as I work on ALOT of the Virginia and West Virginia radio station pages) please let me know as I am glad to help. Take Care and Enjoy Your Weekend...NeutralHomer T:C 04:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AWB Edits

I notice alot of your AWB edits popping up on my watchlist. Good Work :) While you are at it, why not give the links here a once over. That is all the pages I have created. Save ya some time sorting them out later. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 13:05, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

College and university categories

You are currently touching a whole lot of college and university articles and using the edit summary "clean up and categorization, Replaced: Category:Land-grant universities and colleges → Category:Land-grant universities and collegesCategory:Space-grant universities and colleges using [[". That edit summary does not appear to be accurate. Can you please use an accurate and correct edit summary (and a shorter one that actually fits in the provided space)? Thanks! --ElKevbo 21:07, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see what I can do. This is being done via the AWB for consistency and accuracy. It tacks on a lot to the description sometimes. --Rtphokie 21:09, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you aware that we removed the space-grant category a couple of months ago (in this CfD)? --Sopoforic 17:30, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm not and no warning was provided when the category was created. This discussion seems incomplete though. Why were sea, sun, and space grant categories removed yet land grant was retained? How is Land grant different from the others?--Rtphokie 21:14, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo elr.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo elr.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:27, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re: 71.70.233.151

Unfortunately, I'm not regular enough in my attendance here to be an admin, currently at least. I was stalking his contributions page for a little while. If you look at his talk page, you'll see that he was blocked, but it was shortly after the vandalism you reverted. If you see a persistent vandal like that one, once they've received a final warning, as soon as you notice another occurrence, go ahead and report it to WP:AIV. There are almost always mods watching that, and they'll look into and it (most likely) give him a nice little block. As a side note, you should pretty much always leave a note on the vandal's talk page. Template:TestTemplates has a good listing of all the test template; the one's you'll use mostly are the top row. If you have any questions (regarding this, anti-vandalism tools, etc.), feel free to drop me a note. Xiong Chiamiov :: contact :: 17:47, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tips--Rtphokie 21:44, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-worded the note to clarify its meaning. Your note, while important, does not belong in the area you have added it to. The father-section ("Naming conventions for stations with call signs") already clearly states that stations in countries with call signs are to use them in article names, and then provides the source. The note we have both edited is to clarify when/why suffixes are added to stations in the US. Long story short - your note is important, but already stated in a more pertinent location. Thanks! I'm cool with that, thanks for the clarification. --Rtphokie 01:21, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Hi, I'm the original creator of the above article. I understand that u placed a tag recently on the abovementioned for a proposed merger with 'Madame Tussauds', but without highlighting any specific justification or constructive proposal on how to go about it so that its integrity and value is not compromised. As the article is under the purview of WikiProject Hong Kong, I've already informed them on this matter for their comments and consensus. Kindly reply at the article talk page. Thank u. -- Aldwinteo 10:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: WAVA

The reason is because I would like to have pages for each radio station in Virginia, even if it is a simulcaster. Now, if it is possible to have infoboxes up for both the AM and FM signals and the histories that go along with them, then merging them into WAVA-FM (and renaming it WAVA) would be fine. I just don't want to lose the technical information and history of WAVA-AM is all. - NeutralHomer T:C 01:15, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I made a couple very minor changes (one slight correct to the infobox and a correct to the beginning sentence to add WAVA-AM) otherwise great job :) Many thanks...NeutralHomer T:C 01:33, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okie Dokie, I will give it a whirl tomorrow and tell ya how it goes :) Take Care and Have a Good Evening...NeutralHomer T:C 01:44, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just gave it a shot and that is really awesome! I wish I could do that for my setup (I do my first sentences with a tad different wording). Very good work! Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 05:10, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wava logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wava logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. βcommand 22:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with WDYT.
