Introduction
Teaching literature is, at times, a daunting task. In our digital world, it is sometimes difficult for readers to identify with, for instance, Shakespeare's works. For many it is not from a lack of desire to understand the text, but an inability to connect with the archaic writing style sometimes present. This leads to readers often becoming frustrated or disliking literature simply because it was not presented in a way that they could understand.
To that end, presented in the following article are examples of film being applied as a teaching tool to be taught along-side and, in rare cases, instead of literary works.
