Qatif (Arabic: القطيف al Kateef) is a coastal oasis located on the western bank of the Arabian Gulf and covering large area consisting of many villages and cities like Saihat, Safwa, Tarut Island and many other small towns such as Awamia. Qatif is famous with dates and fish.
Qatif has become very famous in the oil industry recently, mainly due to the mega Qatif Project.
