"Daddy" is a fictional character from the British comedy television series "Keeping Up Appearances". He is the father of the central character Hyacinth Bucket and is portrayed by actor George Webb. "Daddy" has four daughters: Hyacinth Bucket, Daisy, Violet and Rose. He lives under the care of Daisy, her husband Onslow and Rose in a council house.

"Daddy's" behaviour is bizarre and unpredictable. Sometimes he believes himself still to be a soldier in World War II, while at other time believes himself to be outrageous characters, such as masked crime fighter "Captain Midnight" and once a space explorer. More frequently he has relationships with older women. Frequently he disappears without telling anyone. Because of his erratic behaviour, Onslow and Daisy have to watch him constantly so that "daddy" does not get into too much trouble. Despite their best efforts, they must deal with "daddy's" shenanigans. Frequently Hyacinth intervenes when "daddy" is acting up, mostly to prevent her own embarrassment.

In one memorable shenanigan, he drives off in Richard's car, and the rest of the family chase him in Onslow's car through the city and into countryside.

He is always referred to as "Daddy" or "Father"; his actual name is never given in the series. He also has very few lines, heard speaking in only one or two episodes.
