George Gilmore was an important political figure on the Republican left in Ireland in the 1920s and 1930s. I therefore oppose deletion. The fact that this article is a stub is no reason to delete it. --Mia-etol (talk) 16:57, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

• Comment I don't think there's anyone out there shortening leads, at least not a significant number. It's just that most articles aren't long enough for one that's much longer than a sentence.
