A.Nagatomi, Saigusa, H.Nagatomi & Lyneborg, 1991

Apsilocephalidae is a family of Diptera in the superfamily Asiloidea. The family was proposed in 1991.

Apsilocephalidae are close relatives (sister group) of Therevidae distinguishable by genetalic characters.There are three living and two fossil species.
