I took a note of your comments at RfA and thought you were civil enough, but that wasn't the point of the barnstar! We need your voice on the other side: there are (in my opinion) too many English-only editors with heavy bias and not enough knowledge of the rest of the world. I'm probably one of them myself. You were willing to tackle that. I found your comments and arguments enlightening and agreed with a lot of it. It seems like the other-language wikis are the default fall back whenever content comes up that they can't independently verify. "That's what the Spanish wiki is for," or whatever language it happens to be. I don't know of the way around it, and until there is a glut of translators on the market willing to volunteer, it will probably remain the same, but this is hardly the sum of all human knowledge if difficult to verify and difficult to obtain information is considered pejorative by the community majority. Anyway, cheers Dekkappai :) [[User:Maedin|<span style="color:#4B0082">'''Maedin'''</span>]]\[[User_talk:Maedin|<span style="color:#4B0082">talk</span>]] 20:26, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Just wanted to say

Looks like I'm just too late, you've archived the last! I hope it's not rude to leave messages on a "retired" page?

Anyway, I wanted to give you this (I meant to do it days ago but I procrastinate):

The Special Barnstar
For being just the sort of cultured, intelligent, capable, and well-spoken contributor I wish would stay, and because I'm really sorry to see that you've gone. Wishing you the best :) Maedin\talk 17:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your Belated Thanks

I took a note of your comments at RfA and thought you were civil enough, but that wasn't the point of the barnstar!
