NFL "Prime Time" '98 was a follow up to Sega's only football game for the Sega Saturn, NFL '97. NFL 98 was released for the Sega Genesis in 1998. This was not only the last football game for the Sega Genesis, but it was one of the last games for the "dying of age" console period. Those who owned a Sega Saturn and a Genesis were pleased with what they thought was a much better installment. Over recent years, the game has been resored with updates to uniforms, helmets and players.^{[citation needed]}
