Skellington Productions was a company that was a joint venture between Walt Disney Animation Studios and director Tim Burton. The company specialized in stop motion animation and made use of the art in its two films.

The first film produced by Skellington Productions (which also gave the company its namesake), The Nightmare Before Christmas, was released theatrically in 1993 under Disney's Touchstone Pictures banner to an extremely positive response and box office, becoming one a sleeper hit.

The second and final film, James and the Giant Peach, released to theaters in 1996 was also met with postive reviews but failed to make a profit.

It is unknown what became of Skellington Prouductions after the release of James and the Giant Peach. It is presumed at the company went defunct.
