A street cafe in Florentin

Florentin (Hebrew: פלורנטין) is a neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv, named after David Florentin, a Greek Jew who purchased the land in the late 1920s.[1][2]

Culture and atmosphere

Florentin has been called the "Lower East Side" of Tel Aviv, as well as its "Soho",[citation needed] and was the setting for a popular TV series in the late 1990s called Florentin.
