Transportation
Rail
Nagatsuta Station is a major station where the Yokohama Line (横浜線) (to downtown Yokohama) and Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line (東急電園都市線) (to Shibuya) meet. Several stations of the Yokohama Line are also located in the ward: Tōka-ichiba Station (十日市場駅), Nakayama Station (中山駅) and Kamoi Station (鴨居駅). Nakayama Station is expected to have a Yokohama Municipal Subway (横浜市営地下鉄) opened by the year 2011.
Roads
The Tomei Expressway and Route 246 both cut across the northwest portion of the ward. One interchange on the Tomei Expressway for Route 16 is located in the extreme west of the ward. Ring Road 4 also runs through the area, as well as several secondary prefectural routes.
Education
Several universities are located in the ward, most notably the Nagatsuta campus of the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Other universities include Showa University and Toyo Eiwa University.
Neigborhoods
Areas with a -cho suffix are located in the less dense parts of the ward.
