Cimanes de la Vega is the last village of León, the south one, circulating from the N-620 highway (León - Benavente). Is closed to the Esla River.

It has around 700 inhabitants, grouped in three villages: Cimanes de la Vega, Bariones de la Vega and Lordemanos de la Vega. Main economical activity is agriculture, with irrigated and dry lands. Main productions are beet (Beta vulgaris), maize (Zea mays) and cattle forages. The most important monument of this village is the "Virgen de la Vega", (an hermitage from XI century).
